Hans Galland is a Founder and CEO of BeyondTrucks.  Galland’s focused pursuit of and commitment to improving operational efficiencies by utilizing technology, inspiring people and enabling cultural change have been a cornerstone of his career. The result was his success in operating, finance and technology companies such as building and scaling JLL into China’s largest hospitality investment advisory business, and transforming asset manager Pacific Eagle into a 1.2 billion dollar real estate development business paved the way for his entry into transportation.

Rarely do two entrepreneurial executives enter a market at the ground level to learn the business- but in 2019, Galland and his partner Dr. Paul Xie applied for truck driver jobs and later worked as dispatchers for fleets in California’s Central Valley. Joined by Dr. John Carlsson, the three began developing dispatch optimization algorithms and formed an actual trucking company to develop a digital twin of a fleet. This was the germination of BeyondTrucks.

Committed to serving, Galland has served on numerous for-profit and not-for-profit boards, including Lucid Motors, NeueHouse, GlobalSF (economic development), MiraKind (cancer prevention), and the San Francisco Duboce Triangle Neighborhood Association. He holds a BSc (summa cum laude) from the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland  (EHL) and a MSc from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
