Laura McMillan is VP of training program development at Instructional Technologies, Inc., a provider of advanced safety training solutions for the transportation industry. McMillan has extensive expertise and experience with the analysis, design, development, deployment and evaluation of driver and non-driver training programs. As an recognized leader in safety training solutions, she has served on the curriculum certification committee of the Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) and was the only training company representative selected to serve on the curriculum sub-committee as part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) proposed rule for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT).
McMillan has over 15 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industries, including training management positions at Roehl Transport and Schneider National. She currently serves on the Board of Governors of the National Private Truck Council (NPTC), is an award-winning instructional designer recognized by the American Society of Training and Development (ATD) and has spoken in the U.S. and Europe on entry level diver training and at American Trucking Associations events on all matters relating to training. McMillan holds a Class A Commercial Drivers License.
