Kenneth Clark Company Integrates with MacroPoint
Full service logistics provider enables freight tracking platform to meet shipper needs for accurate, real-time load location and status updates
CLEVELAND, OH – May 17, 2017 - MacroPoint, creator of patented freight tracking platform designed to give shippers, brokers, 3PLs and carriers real-time visibility into load status, today announced that Kenneth Clark Company has fully integrated its technology with the company’s proprietary TMS.
“We chose MacroPoint as our freight tracking solution provider because our shipper customers want up-to-date and accurate load location information when they need it,” said Kenneth Clark, President of Kenneth Clark Company. “Now that we’ve fully integrated MacroPoint with our TMS, we have adopted a 100 percent tracking rule, meaning that we require all shipments to be tracked by MacroPoint, and we have added language in our contracts with carriers detailing use and acceptance requirements.
“We also felt that MacroPoint’s technology, platform, services, and most importantly, their ability to easily integrate their system with our proprietary TMS, made them the right fit for our company,” Clark continued. “Our TMS is designed to meet our unique needs and the implementation of MacroPoint allows our team to manage all aspects of tracking on their consoles. With MacroPoint, information on load location and status is displayed quickly and easily without having to leave our TMS for another application.”
Clark also related that MacroPoint is reducing the time spent each day tracking drivers, allowing its staff to focus on moving freight. “We found that our customer service staff was spending approximately 20 percent of their time each week tracking loads, and our morning calls were taking up to three hours to complete,” he stated. “With MacroPoint, our customer service representatives are now able to manage more orders per day, which in turn has increased their revenue rates, allowing them to generate more revenue per employee.”
The MacroPoint automated freight tracking solution offers a single point of integration for shippers, brokers, 3PLs and carriers. Its control tower style freight visibility software provides automated monitoring and tracking and real-time load location visibility using cell phones, in-cab devices or trailer or container cargo tracking systems. The platform is also integrated with a number of TMS systems.
Kenneth Clark Company, based in Ellicott City, Maryland, is a full-service logistics provider offering a wide variety of services through a network of carriers across the continental United States, Alaska, Canada and Mexico. The company’s offerings include truckload, less-than-truckload, over-dimensional and heavy haul services.
“The success of our relationship with Kenneth Clark Company is driven by our understanding of their freight visibility goals,” said Dave Halsema, Executive Vice President of MacroPoint. “By integrating with their proprietary system to track all their freight, we are able to meet their customers’ needs for highly accurate load tracking and status updates.”
Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, and founded in 2011, MacroPoint is the provider of a global freight visibility platform for shippers, brokers and third-party logistics companies (3PLs). MacroPoint’s patented, automated load monitoring and tracking software provides real-time load location visibility by using any cell phone, in-cab ELD/GPS device, or trailer and container tracking system. The cloud-based solution enables location monitoring and tracking, delivery monitoring and event notifications, and exception management and predictive analytics capabilities. Integrated with a growing number of TMS systems, MacroPoint automates the entire process by eliminating the need for drivers to check in with dispatchers, and for shippers and brokers to check in with carriers. To date, over 1 million drivers and approximately 10 million connected trucks are part of the MacroPoint Carrier Visibility Network. Additional information is available at www.macropoint.com.
